My name is Coco and I am a 24 year old southern California native. I am filled with passion and love my life. I have had incredible opportunities and amazing experiences.
I’m was in a whirlwind leading me to the end of a chapter in my life: college. College life was truly an unforgettable experience. And let me tell you, I did it all–greek life, associated students, organizations, being involved with my major, meeting the greatest friends ever, the list goes on and on. But there was always a part missing… travel. Unfortunately I never got to study abroad and that was always something I regretted. So that is what brought me here.
Now I am in the midst of whirlwind of France! I started as an au pair for two wonderful boys in a little village 50 minutes outside of Paris. My world was filled with cartoons, games, crying, and sillyness. However, a chance to live in this incredible country overflowing with delicious food and remarkable beauty was well worth it.
Seeing my time in France coming to an abrupt end, I decided to go on a job search and do everything possible to stay here. I am not done with the experience just yet! I am now making the 180 switch to having a 9 to 6 job. That’s right caca to career.
Though hesitant, I am excited and curious for the next chapter. So follow me along my journey–wherever it takes me. Here comes the ups and downs of an expat in Paris…
“We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face… we must do that which we think we cannot.” -Eleanor Roosevelt
